Reflecting on 2018

Over the past 12 months, the Digital + Technology Collective has been actively engaged in efforts to bring together Australia’s digital and technology experts to champion excellence, recognise industry leaders and facilitate collaboration and innovation.

2018 was an exciting year. Just take a look at some of the exciting initiatives we brought to life for our member community: 

Education and Skills Development

• Release of 2018 Digital Skills and Salary Survey report identifying significant market trends
• Development of a Digital Skills Framework to better identify skills gaps
• Discounted access to Academy Xi digital tools education

Knowledge and Learning

• Production of a deep-dive Tech Guides series putting solutions into context
• Publication of over 50 articles on topics such as Digital Skills, UX, Data and AI

Networking and Connections

• Gathered peers in topic-led roundtable discussions
• Provided formal and informal networking opportunities at key events

Events and Recognition

• Celebrated 23 winners at this year’s AMY Awards who demonstrated the power of digital to make a real difference to the lives of Australians
• Inspired digital and technology professionals by hosting industry thought leaders at Digiday Hot Topic events

Advocacy and Regulatory

• Provided regular updates on the latest compliance, privacy and regulatory developments
• Responded to proposed regulatory changes on behalf of the industry to issues like ACCC Digital Platforms Inquiry in collaboration with sister association - ADMA
• Held roundtable discussions and engaged government regarding the Digital Economy Strategy
